What is a Tesla Model S 75D battery upgrade?

I have a Tesla Model S 75D. While it’s a great car, I’ve been trying to figure out if there’s a way to increase the speed, power, and range of the vehicle. What exactly does a Tesla Model S 75D battery upgrade consist of?

The
Tesla Model S 75D battery upgrade
is a type of car modification that involves installing a larger battery than the original stock battery to improve speed, range, and power. However, the process isn’t exactly cheap or feasible for most Tesla owners.
An upgrade is typically from a 75D battery to a P100DL battery. However, this only adds about 40 miles of range (around 300 miles) and a moderate increase in horsepower and speed. Most drivers will hardly notice a huge difference.
If your current battery is starting to go kaput, a replacement cost for a Model S 75D battery is around $16,000. However, an upgrade to a larger battery will cost you $30,000 or more. It’s cheaper than a new Tesla, but it’s certainly not cost-effective for everyone.
