What engine is in a Ford F150?

Does the Ford F150 have a powerful engine? I’ve been considering buying one but I’ll need to tow and haul a lot of stuff and I want to make sure that the engine will be powerful enough.

The 2022
Ford F150
has six different options when it comes to your engine, but all of them are pretty powerful. Your choices include:
  • 3.3-Litre V6: the base engine for the F150 that can tow up to 7,700 pounds and produces up to 290 horsepower
  • 2.7L EcoBoost V6: offers slightly more horsepower (325 hp, to be exact), can tow up to 8,500, and haul up to 2,470 in the bed
  • 3.5L EcoBoost V6: produces up to 375 hp, hauls up to 3,230 pounds, and tows up to 13,200 pounds
  • High-Output 3.5L EcoBoost V6: boasts 450 hp and can tow almost 11,000 pounds. However, it can only haul up to 1,520 pounds
  • 3.0L Power Stroke Turbodiesel V6: has 250 hp at its disposal, can tow up to 11,500 pounds, and haul close to 1,940 pounds
  • 5.0L Ti-VCT V8: unsurprisingly produces 395 hp, can also tow almost 10,600 pounds, and haul 3,270 pounds
The V8 is an ideal option if towing and hauling are at the top of your priority list.
