Is it possible a locksmith could damage my car when I use their services?

Are professional auto locksmiths reliable? I locked my keys in my car, but I'm afraid to call a locksmith. I have a 2013 Mercedes.

“If you’re worried about finding a reliable locksmith, there are a number of steps you can take, including ensuring that they have the necessary certification and proper insurance in your state.
Instead of hiring a professional, you could also look to your manufacturer to check the warranty on your vehicle or see if your car insurance policy covers roadside assistance.”
