Is Chrysler's lifetime warranty worth it?

My friend told me that Chrysler has a lifetime warranty. I’m thinking about purchasing it. Is it worth it?

Chrysler did have a lifetime warranty, but no longer. It was discontinued in 2010.
Here’s more on that.
  • Chrysler introduced a lifetime powertrain warranty in 2007 that was available to all new-vehicle buyers at Chrysler dealerships.
  • The warranty was not transferable.
  • The lifetime warranty was discontinued in 2010 and was replaced with a 5-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty.
As of 2022, Chrysler’s powertrain warranty is good for 5 years or 60,000 miles and is transferable.
