How reliable is a Ford Edge?

Is the Ford Edge usually reliable, or do they break down often? I really want a reliable car, and the Edge seems like a good choice, but I’ve been burned by Ford before.

 scores okay for reliability, but it’s definitely not the most reliable midsize SUV on the market right now. Issues reported by customers include:

  • Transmission problems
