My son refuses to wear his seatbelt. I’m not sure if he thinks it’s uncool, but I told him it’s unsafe and it may also cost him money. To deter him from driving without a seatbelt, I thought I might focus on the monetary ramifications. How much does Oklahoma charge for a seatbelt ticket?

will set you back $20 in fines. However, a seatbelt ticket is not a moving violation, so it won’t cause your son’s car insurance
rates to increase or result in a permanent record or demerit points.The fine might not be very expensive, but wearing your seatbelt is still an important way to stay safe in a vehicle.
