I purchased a new car a few months ago and have been thinking about getting a tint put on the windows. How much does it cost to tint car windows?

Adding a tint to a car’s windows is a common modification. Getting it done professionally can cost anywhere from $250 to $750 or more depending on the type of vehicle, type of tint you purchase, and how many windows are done.
If this price seems a bit steep, consider applying the window tint yourself. You can purchase a do-it-yourself kit online or at your local auto shop for much less, but applying the tint can be tricky.
Before tinting your windows, you should check your state’s laws. Each state has different restrictions on how dark the tint can be and which windows are allowed to be tinted.
