How much does it cost to renew a driver’s license in MN?

Is a new MN license expensive? I didn’t realize I would have to pay to get my license renewed, and now I’m scared that I don’t have enough money saved!

Try not to worry too much— the fee is pretty small! It costs $23.75 to renew your driver’s license in
MN
. You can also pay a fee of $14.75 for a duplicate license in case you lose your current one.
While many states do offer online license renewals, Minnesota does not. As such, you’ll need to visit a Driver and Vehicle Services office to renew your license. There’s also no grace period for license renewals in MN, so you’ll need to make sure to visit the DVS before the expiration date listed on your license to avoid additional fees.
