How many points is a reckless driving charge in PA?

Will I get a lot of points on my driving record if I’m charged with reckless driving in Pennsylvania? I’ve never gotten a charge like this before and I’m worried about the kind of impact that it could have on my record.

A reckless driving charge in
Pennsylvania
is typically a five-point offense. This makes reckless driving one of the most serious traffic violations in the state.
You’ll also face a license suspension period of at least six months, a minimum fine of $200, and even jail time of up to 90 days. If anyone was hurt as a result of your driving, these punishments could be more severe.
Your car insurance rates will go up as well if you’re charged with reckless driving. But that doesn’t mean you have to overpay for coverage.
