It’s smart to check out a car’s engine specs before you sign on the dotted line! The Nissan Sentra uses a four-cylinder engine. You might be a little disappointed to learn that the 2022 Sentra only produces 149 horsepower and 146 lb-ft of torque.
While that seems fairly low, it’s perfectly suitable for a compact and fuel-efficient sedan like the Sentra.
If you like faster, more powerful cars, you might consider the 2022 Honda Civic or 2022 Mazda 3. Both of these have four-cylinder engines, but the Civic gets 158 hp while the Mazda 3 gets 155 hp. Plus, the Honda and Mazda compacts give you optional engine upgrades, so you can get an even more powerful ride. As the premier compact car of every car rental service in North America, the Nissan Sentra doesn’t give you these choices.
