How many Cadillac XLRs were made?

My friend and I spotted a Cadillac XLR the other day. It was a cool car but I don’t know how rare it is. How many Cadillac XLRs were made?

There were only about 15,000
Cadillac
 XLRs ever built. These vehicles were only in production for a short period from 2003 to 2009. While the XLR is rare, it isn’t as rare as its high-performance cousin, the Cadillac XLR-V.
Nevertheless, this single generation roadster had some notable features, including a power retractable hardtop, Bulgari interior instruments, adaptive suspensions, rear mounted transmission, and near 50/50 front-to-rear weight distribution.
