My mechanic was talking about suspension and how she’s been replacing a lot of worn-out suspensions lately. How long does car suspension last, and how can you tell you need it to be replaced?

Generally, suspensions start to wear out between 60,000 or 100,000 miles, although this varies based on what kind of terrain you drive on. You can tell your suspension is wearing out when:
- Your ride is bumpier than normal
- Your car feels unstable while driving on familiar roads
- Your car tilts to the side
Your suspension is made up of several components that work together to give you a smoother ride and better traction. These include springs, shocks, struts, and an anti-sway bar. If one or all of these parts start to wear out, your ride naturally becomes rougher over time.
