How do you remove the front fender on a Toyota Sienna?

While backing into a friend’s driveway, I ran over a pretty huge boulder that scratched up my front bumper. It seems like I’m going to have to remove the fender on the driver’s side in order to repair the damage. How can I remove the front fender on a Toyota Sienna?

I’m sorry to hear that you damaged your car! Before you get started removing the fender, you should know that this process requires you to be comfortable jacking up your vehicle and removing intricate parts. If you lack experience, it’s a job best left to the pros.
But if you feel confident, you can remove the front fender on a
Toyota Sienna
by following these simple steps:
  1. Jack up your Sienna and take off the front tires by removing the lug nuts.
  2. Remove the driver’s side guard by undoing the seven clips and two screws, then pulling it out horizontally.
  3. Remove the rubber retainer beneath the front bumper.
  4. Remove the dirt protector under the fender.
  5. Take the radiator grille off by removing the five clips on top and pulling it outward.
  6. Remove the headlight housing on the driver’s side.
  7. Take the screws out of the front bumper on the driver’s side and loosen the bumper.
  8. Locate the front bumper support and remove it.
  9. After that, you will be able to remove the front fender.
  10. Once you’ve made your repairs, return each component to its original place.
Although the process of removing your front fender can be rather involved, if you do it successfully, you can save hundreds of dollars on car body repairs.
