How do you program the garage door opener in a 2019 Subaru Forester?
My daughter has her garage door opener linked to her car, and I love how convenient it is! I’d like to do the same for my car. Can you tell me how to program the garage door opener in a 2019 Subaru Forester?

We sure can! Setup is pretty simple, and you’ll love not having to worry about where your clunky old garage door remote is anymore. Here’s how to program the garage door opener in a 2019
Subaru Forester
: - Make sure your car is close to your garage and in range of the garage door opener
- Press and hold the outer two HomeLink buttons (numbers 1 and 3) to light up the small orange light and home icon on your rearview mirror. Keep holding until the orange light begins flashing, about 20 seconds
- Press the HomeLink button you wish to pair with your garage door opener, and the indicator on the orange light on the rearview mirror should begin blinking again
- Hold your garage door remote a couple of inches away from your rearview mirror and press the button to open your garage
- Keep holding the garage door remote until the indicator light on your rearview mirror turns green. This means that the two have synced
And that’s all! Your
Subaru
is now paired with your garage door, and all you have to do to open it is push one of the HomeLink buttons on the rearview mirror. It’s nice when technology makes our lives just a little easier.
