Since driving records are your personal information, you can request your three- or ten-year South Carolina
driving record from the DMV at any time. Follow these steps to request your driving record:
Go to the South Carolina DMV website.
Navigate to the Driving Records page.
Click Get My Driving Record.
Input your payment information (there’s a $6 fee to request your record).
Confirm your information.
From there, you should get an email with your driving record almost immediately. If you’d like to request a physical copy, you’ll need to go to the DMV in person. Remember that your driving record is your personal information. The only way to request another driver’s information is to first get the driver’s consent or have an approved reason for the request.
Keep in mind that any significant violations on your record could impact your ability to get a job related to driving. But if you have a clean record, you shouldn’t have any problems!
