How do you connect Bluetooth on a BMW X3?
I’ll be driving my friend’s BMW X3 for a few weeks and I want to be able to use my phone in hands-free mode. How do I connect my phone with Bluetooth?

You’re smart to make sure you keep your phone in hands-free mode. Many states have pretty strict laws about using a cell phone while driving! You can connect to the Bluetooth on a BMW X3 by accessing the communication or COM menu option on your infotainment system:
- Select manage mobile devices > connect new device
- Select the option for how you want to use your device
- On your phone, select the BMW option in the Bluetooth menu and the pairing will begin!
You’ll probably have to confirm the pairing with your phone and car, and there may be a PIN that pops up to use. Once you’ve done that, your phone and the X3 should be connected.
