It’s smart that you want to check for accurate information on your car insurance policy. Almost all states require you to have

, and you want to make sure your policy is up-to-date.If you have your policy number, you can use your provider’s online portal to verify your insurance information. Many providers even offer apps to make the process even easier.
There are also some states that allow you to verify insurance through the Department of Public Safety. To do this you’ll likely need:

- Current insurance company
