How do I search for my car insurance policy?
I can’t seem to find my car insurance cards or policy number and was wondering, how can I search for my policy details?

There are a few ways to search for your
car insurance
policy despite not having your insurance card or policy number.The easiest way to search for your policy is by checking to see if you can access your policy details online or using the insurance company’s app. If you cannot access your policy online but know the company you bought insurance from, you can call the company and request new documentation or have them answer any questions you may have. You should also search your email inbox for electronic versions of your policy’s documents.
If you cannot remember your car insurance company, and you could not find an email with the information, can do the following:
- Check your bank statements to see if you can find out who your insurer is
- Call the DMV and see if they may have it on record
- Contact your Secretary of State (they maintain records of who is insured)
- Request a new car insurance quote and ask the agent if the reports run indicate you are insured and through which company
