How do I reset oil life on a 2018 Honda Civic?
I own a 2018 Honda Civic. For some reason, the reset oil life dashboard light keeps coming on, although I’m not sure why because I recently had an oil change. How can I reset the oil life on a 2018 Honda Civic?

, turn the key to the on position, select oil life with the trip button, and hold the trip button until the oil life resets.For more in-depth instructions, do the following:
- Turn the key to the on or accessories position.
- Push in the trip button, which is located on the right side of the dash, until you reach oil life. If you’re on the trip A setting, press the trip button four times or as many times as needed to reach the oil life.
- Once you reach the oil life, you should see a percentage.
- To reset this to 100%, simply hold the trip button for about 10 seconds.
- You should see the instrument cluster flash a few times, then the oil life will go back to 100%.
