How do I reset a Honda Insight oil light or service light?

, it does have one annoyance: the oil light or service light on the dashboard layout.This light continues to illuminate because it’s built into the computer system of your car. Using mileage as a gauge, the computer lights up these warnings to let you know that you are due for
routine maintenance
. If you don’t need maintenance or the light doesn’t shut off on its own, it can certainly get frustrating.To turn off the light, follow these steps:
- Turn the key to the on position
- Press the Sel/Reset button until Remaining Oil Life appears on the dash
- Press and hold the Sel/Reset button for 10 seconds
- Scroll down and hit reset
If this doesn’t work, refer to your owner’s manual to reset it.
