How do I open the gas tank on a 2019 Lincoln Navigator?

I’m having a tough time getting into the gas tank of my recently bought 2019 Lincoln Navigator, which is sort of embarrassing. I’ve only ever driven cars with a small lip on the lid that you can just pull open, but the Navigator doesn’t seem to have that. How does the gas tank open?

To open the gas tank on a 2019
Lincoln Navigator
, push on the side of the gas tank lid door closest to the back end of your vehicle. That will release the latch holding it in place and allow the gas tank to open.
The 2019 Navigator also comes with the Easy Fill capless gas tank, so you don’t have to remove anything else before filling up.
Just push the gas pump through the slot and start adding the recommended fuel for your vehicle—which, by the way, is premium gas with an octane rating of 91 as per
Lincoln
.
Don’t worry, it’s not embarrassing at all, especially if you’ve never seen this kind of gas tank lid before!
