How do I open the gas tank on a 2018 Dodge Charger?

I’ve always loved Dodge Chargers, so I just bought myself a 2018 model. I’ve been driving it non-stop and have already run through a tank of gas. How do I open the gas tank to refuel?

Congratulations on the new car purchase! To open the gas tank on a 2018 Dodge Charger simply follow these steps:

Make sure your car is in Park and turned off.
Locate the fuel filler door release switch in the driver’s door map pocket.
Exit the car and open the fuel filler door located on the driver’s side rear door.
There is no fuel filler cap. From there, simply insert the fuel nozzle into the filler pipe and begin refueling your vehicle.

There you have it! Wait for a clicking sound or for the fuel nozzle to shut off to indicate the fuel tank is full.

We recommend keeping the fuel nozzle in the gas tank for an additional five seconds to allow for excess fuel to continue to drain. Afterward, you can remove the nozzle to the gas pump and close the fuel filler door.

Dodge recommends using unleaded regular gasoline in your 2018 Dodge Charger. Lucky for you, this is the cheapest option! As if you needed another excuse to drive that Charger non-stop.
