Your old man is right! Making your own windshield wiper fluid is an easy way to save—plus, you only need water and vinegar. To make your own windshield wiper fluid:
  • Combine three parts of water and one part vinegar in a jar.
  • Shake them together vigorously.
  • Pour a bit of the vinegar solution on your windshield to see if it removes the gunk and grime.
  • If it doesn’t, add a bit more vinegar to the solution.
  • If it does, add the solution to your windshield wiper fluid reservoir.
