How do I fix a car seat lever?

My Ford XLT car seat lever broke off. Is there anything I can do to fix it?

“Wear and tear on cars is common, but it’s still unfortunate! Luckily, you have a couple of options for fixing your car seat lever.
If the lever broke at the top, you can try welding it back into place. Otherwise, you may have to replace the whole mechanism by purchasing a new one from Ford.
Check with your local dealership first. If your car is still under warranty, the dealership may replace it for free.
If your car doesn’t have a warranty, the dealership can order the part and replace it for you. You should shop around and get quotes from multiple repair shops to make sure you’re getting the best deal.
While getting quotes from auto repair shops, consider looking at your car insurance as well. Rates vary between companies. You may find a better rate than what you’re currently paying by shopping around.
