How do I find someone’s car insurance policy?
Is there a good way to find someone's car insurance policy information? My son's 21 years old and he isn’t exactly responsible. He told me he bought car insurance, but he couldn't provide it to law enforcement after running a stoplight. Now, I need to find a way to look up his policy—if it even exists.

The best place to look for his
car insurance
information is in the car. When insurance companies give policies to customers, it’s common for customers to tuck them into glove compartments or other storage areas in the car. With any luck, you’ll find his insurance card or insurance policy information in the car.If that doesn’t work, check the provider’s website. If your son remembers which insurance company he uses, you can set up an account on their app or website. Once you access the account, you should be able to find all of his insurance information.
As a last resort, contact your local DMV. The DMV keeps records of every drivers’ insurance information. Once they have the car’s VIN (vehicle identification number), the DMV can likely find your son’s policy information and some proof of insurance.
