How do I file a claim with State Farm car insurance?

I hit a tree and I need to file a claim with my car insurance. I have full coverage with State Farm. How do I file a claim with them?

Since you have full coverage with
State Farm
, you can submit a claim under your
collision coverage
. 
Collision coverage protects your vehicle from any damage when it collides with another vehicle or object.
To submit a claim with State Farm:
  • Option 1: You can submit online through their website.
  • Option 2: You can file through their mobile app.
  • Option 3: You can call 1-800-SF-CLAIM, or 1-800-732-5246.
Once you report your damage, a claim adjuster will review the details of your claim. They’ll let you know if they need any further information and what happens next in the process. You will also need to get an estimate from a repair shop. If approved, State Farm will pay for your repairs.
