How do I delete a Bluetooth device from my 2016 Honda CRV?

My dad borrowed my car recently while in the shop, and when I drove him to a family gathering the other day, his phone took over my car. It was super annoying. I don’t want to listen to his music while driving. Could you tell me how to delete a Bluetooth device from a 2016 Honda CRV?

Thankfully, it’s a piece of cake to remove your dad’s phone from your
Honda CRV
. The whole process can be completed in less than a minute, even!
  • Press the home button on your infotainment screen to start
  • Press Settings next
  • Now select Bluetooth/ Wi-Fi Settings
  • Find Bluetooth Device List from the menu here and then select it
  • This is a list of all the devices paired to your 2016 Honda CRV’s Bluetooth. Find the device(s) you want to remove and select it (them)
  • Choose Delete This Device
  • Confirm that you want to delete this Bluetooth device by pressing Yes
That’s it! Your dad’s phone should no longer be paired with your car. We should mention though that device names are usually pretty vague, and it can lead to some confusion when you’re removing a paired Bluetooth device.
If you and your dad both had Google Pixel 7 Pro phones, you’ll likely just see “Google Pixel 7 Pro” (or some variation on that) twice, leaving you needing to guess which one is yours. In this case, you’re in for trial and error, or simply removing both devices and pairing your phone again. It’s a rare issue, but one worth mentioning just in case.
We hope this helps, and you can get back to listening to your tunes when you’re driving regardless of who is in the passenger seat!
