How do I cancel my car insurance policy with Hastings Direct?
I'm looking to cancel my car insurance policy with Hastings Direct. We're moving to the U.S. to be closer to my wife's family, and while I am having my car shipped overseas, I can't exactly have U.K. insurance as a U.S. driver. How do I cancel my Hastings Direct insurance?

First, good luck on the move! Second, it looks like the best way to cancel your insurance policy is to call Hastings Direct.
When you call their customer service line (0333 321 980), here’s what to do:
- Ask for a representative
- Provide your insurance policy number and customer details
- Request cancellation of your contract and recurring payments
- Ask for a confirmation email
If you’ve had your policy longer than 14 days, they will charge a cancellation fee of £45. However, their process is relatively direct—and once you’ve canceled your policy with them, you can start shopping around for a
