How can I remove someone from my Progressive car insurance policy?
My oldest child recently graduated from college and has moved to a new city for a job. I’m proud of her for taking this step, but because she won’t be staying at home anymore or having access to my car, I wondered how I could remove her from my Progressive car insurance policy.

If you have a driver who no longer needs to be listed on your Progressive
car insurance policy
, there are a few ways to remove them—the easiest way is online.Here’s how to do it:
- Log on to Progressive’s website
- Log in to your Progressive insurance account
- Update the policy to reflect the current drivers
Alternatively, you may be able to change your policy through the Progressive app.
However, some insurers may require you to contact them through the phone at 1-800-776-4737 to verify that the individual no longer lives at the address. Be prepared to make a call if your change doesn’t go through online.
