How can I lower my car insurance in Florida?
I am 23, live in Miami, and own a 2014 Ford Focus. I typically have been quoted around $500 a month for insurance and recently received a lower quote of $300. My friend in Illinois only pays $100 a month for insurance. How can I pay less?

“While there are states that have the cheapest car insurance, Florida is actually one of the most expensive places to buy insurance. Living in a major city like Miami, your young age, and any accidents or tickets on your record can also impact your rates.
You have to get a quote from multiple insurance companies to make sure you’re paying the lowest price possible. You can also look at the current coverage levels on your vehicle to decide if you’d like to maintain them or reduce them for a lower rate.

"Is it okay to lie to a car insurance agent to get a better rate? "
There are certain discounts that my insurance company offers that would qualify me for a lower rate. Most seem unverifiable to me. Are they really going to dig into the information that I give them, or is it okay to tell lies concerning marital status and the names and ages of the people that live with me?
