Toyota
makes one fully electric vehicle, the 2023 Toyota bZ4X, of which limited quantities are available only in certain states. The electric SUV starts at $42,000 with two trim levels: XLE and Limited. With both Toyota bZ4X trims, you can choose between:
- A single motor with front-wheel drive with a 63.4 kWh battery pack that’s expected to deliver 201 horsepower and a range up to 242 miles.
- Or upgrade to the dual motor with all-wheel drive with a 65.5 kWh battery that cranks out a slightly higher 215 horsepower and soars from zero to 60 in 6.4 seconds with a range up to 252 miles. This option will cost about $2,080 extra for either trim.
The Toyota bZ4X is expected to get 131 MPGe in the city and 107 MPGe on the highway. Like all Toyotas, the electric SUV will come with a host of driver assistance safety features like adaptive cruise control and automated emergency braking.
