Does Grange Insurance offer gap insurance?
I’m in the process of buying a new car, and the dealership mentioned that I’d need gap insurance. I’m not quite sure what it is or if my current insurance provider even has it. Does Grange Insurance offer gap insurance?

Buying a new car can definitely feel overwhelming, but it’s good that you’re learning about potential costs. Guaranteed Asset Protection (gap insurance) is supplemental car insurance coverage, and Grange Insurance does offer it.
Basically, if you’re in an accident, gap insurance covers the difference between what you owe on the car and what it’s worth. This way, you don’t end up paying what you owe for a car that you can’t even drive.
Although you can buy gap insurance directly from a car dealership, you’ll save money by getting it from your car insurance provider. Grange Insurance works with 3,600 independent insurance agents to provide coverage, including gap insurance. Search the Grange Insurance website to find your local agent and request a quote.
If you haven’t picked an insurance provider yet, you can go online to compare quotes and include gap insurance in your policy search. You can typically add gap insurance for an annual fee of $20 to $40. Once you pay off your financed car or return your leased vehicle, you can drop the gap coverage.
