Does Geico have home insurance in Texas?
I just landed my dream job in Austin, and my wife and I are searching online for the perfect house. I’m wondering whether we can get our insurance through Geico. (I like their commercials!) Does Geico offer home insurance in Texas?

How exciting—a new job and house! Yes, Geico does offer home insurance policies in Texas, but they offer them through third parties. This isn’t a big deal. It just means Geico acts as an intermediary between you and the actual companies offering the policies.
If you wind up having to file a home insurance claim, you won’t deal with Geico. Instead, you’ll be talking to agents at the insurer who issued you the policy. For most people, this isn’t really an issue.
