Does Avis allow cross-border travel into Canada?
I'm an Avis Preferred member and I want to go to Canada. Will they allow me to drive a rental car there if I rent the car in the U.S.?

“Most Avis locations allow travel to Canada with no restrictions. However, you should verify this before you arrive at the ticket counter by calling Avis at 1-800-352-7900.
Avis also requires that you carry
rental car insurance
or your own car insurance
so they can provide you with a Canadian non-resident insurance card. Also known as a yellow card, this acts as proof of insurance to Canadian authorities.If you want to travel to Canada and fly out, make sure you double-check that it’s allowed. Due to supply and demand, they may not allow one-way travel.
