Does AAA renters insurance cover storage units?
I need to store some of my things while I’m in the process of moving. I plan to rent out a storage unit until I can figure out where to put everything. My renters insurance is with AAA, does AAA renters insurance cover my belongings in storage units?

renters insurance
policy is different, and that applies to how they cover storage units. Fortunately, most renters policies will have some amount of coverage for your belongings while they are not in your residence. Most renters policies will cover belongings outside the home, including in a storage unit, up to ten percent of your personal property coverage amount. If your specific policy with AAA does not have the coverage you want, you can purchase additional coverage as an add-on to your policy. Contact your provider to see what is and isn’t covered by your policy.
