Do they drug test before a driving test?

I’m 21 years old, but I’ve never had a driver’s license before. I want to get one now to get to my job. That said, I smoke weed somewhat regularly because it’s legal in my state. Will the state drug test me before I take a driving test?

With the increasing legalization of weed, law enforcement has ramped up efforts to stop
DUIs and DWIs
with respect to marijuana. However, no state drug tests before a driving test.
That said, if you show up to your driving test and appear intoxicated, the DMV will not let you take the test. This could impact your ability to get a driver’s license.
The DMV will drug test those who wish to get a commercial license. Because of the nature of the job, a drug test ensures that you’re a responsible driver who won’t put others at risk on a daily basis while at work. Keep in mind that while weed may be legal in your state, driving while drunk or high never is.
If everything goes well and you pass your driving test, a celebration is in order! Just make sure to shop around for affordable car insurance rates with the
