How can I find out if my rental car is eligible for coverage from my Capital One credit card?

I have a Capital One Venture card and my wife and I are headed to Scotland for 14 days. I was wondering how to find out if my rental car is eligible for the coverage from Capital One?

Typically, one of the benefits of a Capital One Venture card is
rental car coverage
. To find out if you’re eligible, you should speak to Capital One customer service. In addition to telling you whether you are eligible for rental car coverage, they tell you about other perks and benefits.
In order to use your rental car coverage with your Venture card, you will need to pay for your rental with your Venture card. You will then receive your collision damage waiver that will provide protection against collision and theft of the rental vehicle. However, you will need to rent an eligible vehicle for these benefits to kick in.
Keep in mind, this may not be true internationally, so check with your Capital One agent before you bank on the coverage.
