Do Teslas have spare tires?
I want to buy a Tesla, but I’ve never had good luck with cars. I want to ensure my ride has a spare tire or inflator kit. Do Teslas come with a spare tire?

Teslas don’t come with spare tires, but for a good reason. Research shows that spare tires rarely get used, adding unnecessary weight. The Tesla design team also wanted to maximize interior space. As a result, spare tires aren’t included with any Tesla model.
However, Tesla offers a 4-year, 50,000-mile roadside assistance policy when you purchase a new vehicle. This covers flat tires, as well as other situations like:
- Breakdowns
- Lockouts
- Loss of charge
- Anything covered under the bumper-to-bumper warranty
Because Tesla service stations can be limited depending on your location, the coverage provides free towing for up to 500 miles, which should get you to a Tesla service station.
You won’t have a spare tire, but you’ll have plenty of help.
