Can I replace just one tire on my car?

I got a flat on one of my tires, but the rest look completely fine! Is it ok to just replace one of my car’s tires?

You can replace just one tire on your car, but it is not recommended. It’s safer—and could save you more money in the long run—to get at least two replaced at a time.
How your tires handle is an essential part of safe driving. Making sure your car feels balanced and comfortable is crucial, and replacing just one tire can completely throw you off.
It’s helpful to think about it like buying a new pair of shoes: let’s say that the traction has completely worn off of the bottom of just one of your shoes. And, instead of buying a new pair, you opt to only buy one new shoe. Walking around with one brand new shoe and one older one will probably make you feel a little unbalanced!
So, if you really cannot afford to get all four tires replaced, you can replace just the damaged tire and the opposite tire on the same axle.
