Are Volvos considered luxury cars?

Someone told me yesterday that Volvo is a luxury car brand and I argued with them. I don’t think that Volvos are expensive enough to be considered luxury vehicles. Which one of us was right?

Volvo
 is considered a luxury car brand. They are known for their premium features, high quality, and perfected interior, all of which are features of luxury cars.
While you’re right that Volvos are cheaper than some luxury car brands out there, cars aren’t considered luxury vehicles solely based on price. Luxury cars are classified based on their performance and appearance. Things like a quality interior, enhanced safety features, and state-of-the-art technology are what make a luxury car, not a big price tag.
