- R/T AWD: 7.0 inches
- SE 1.8: 7.0 inches
- SE 2.0: 7.0 inches
- SXT 1.8: 6.6 inches
- SXT 2.0: 6.6 inches
As you can see, most Calibers sit between 6.6 and 7 inches off the ground. The highest you’ll be able to get is 8.1 inches off the ground, courtesy of the R/T trim.
Although the 2008 Caliber had a ground clearance of 8.1 inches on not one, but two trims, the following years saw Dodge slowly start to shift to a standardized level of underbody clearance across all models. This was finalized in 2010, when all remaining Calibers were offered with a standard 7.7 inches of ground clearance.

Despite Dodge’s famous “grab life by the horns” maxim, the Caliber is more of a “hold life by the hand” vehicle, as it is simply not cut out for any serious off-roading activity.
