Then, open the app and look at the icons on the home screen. You’ll see an icon for “start/stop engine.” Press and hold it down until the app indicates that your request to start the car has been completed.

Turning off your Cadillac’s engine remotely is just like turning it on. On the app’s home screen, locate the “start/stop engine” icon. As before, press and hold it down. It could take a few seconds, but when the app notifies you that your request was completed, you can release the icon.

Is Cadillac’s remote start app free?

Unfortunately, you cannot access the remote features from myCadillac for free. With a new purchase, you may get an eight-month free trial. After that, you’ll either be downgraded to the free Cadillac Connected Access plan, or you’ll have to pay to keep remote features.
The Cadillac Connected Access plan includes a few cool features, like vehicle diagnostics and the Smart Driver feature, which will keep you informed of your driving habits and history. But you won’t have access to any of the remote features like remote start or remote access.
To restore remote access, you’ll have to pay $14.99 a month for the remote access plan. This will allow your key fob functions through the app, and you’ll have all the other bells and whistles like vehicle location, too.

Which Cadillac vehicles have remote start?

The myCadillac remote features work with most 2010 or newer Cadillac models. However, keep in mind that after your eight-month trial ends, you’ll have to either pay for a subscription or lose the app’s fob features.
Key Takeaway To keep your access to some of myCadillac’s best features, you’ll need to pay a subscription fee after your free trial expires.
