The 2015 Audi A3, the smallest and most affordable Audi available in the U.S., is no less luxurious than the rest of the lineup. High-end details, impressive technology, and a reasonable amount of space make the 2015 A3’s interior stand out, especially for a seven-year-old model.
Its starting MRSP was $30,795 at launch, but these days, used ones are available for around $16,000. Here’s everything you need to know about the 2015 Audi A3’s interior from

2015 Audi A3 interior

The A3 is the smallest and cheapest car Audi sells in the United States, but you wouldn’t know it by the look of its interior. Here’s a breakdown:

Seating

The 2015 A3 seats five across two rows of seats bound in soft black, brown, or gray leather trim. A power driver’s seat was standard across trims with the additional option of heated front seats. The
Premium Plus
trim includes a power passenger seat, as well.
In terms of space, the 2015 A3 works with what it’s got — it’s a not-so-compact compact sedan. Its back row isn’t exceptionally large but offers more legroom than its closest competitor, the 2015
Mercedes-Benz CLA250
, which cost about $2,000 more at launch.

Tech

There’s some impressive tech on display in the 2015 A3, especially for its time.
Audi Pre Sense, standard in most modern Audis, automatically tightens seatbelts and closes windows if the brake is suddenly engaged in anticipation of a collision.
The Driver Assistance package, available in the Premium Plus and Prestige trims, includes a blind spot warning system, parking sensors, a rearview camera, and an automated parking system.
The Advance Technology package, optional in the Prestige trim, adds lane-departure warning and frontal collision mitigation with automatic braking.
The Premium and Premium Plus trims have a 10-speaker sound system, while the Prestige trim gets a 14-speaker Bang & Olufsen system. Audi’s Multi Media Interface (MMI) with Bluetooth and phone connectivity handles infotainment on all trims. An optional navigation system includes a bigger display screen with a touchpad to write letters and numbers with your finger.

Storage

This is the 2015 A3’s most glaring downside, though you shouldn’t expect a ton of space from a compact sedan in the first place. A teensy 12.3 cubic feet of trunk space might fit luggage for a few days, but not much else.

Style

The Audi’s elegant and somewhat understated style makes it stand out just enough. It’s all in the details:
We’re rarely excited by something as standard as dashboard air conditioning vents, but the ones in the A3 are as close to perfect as it gets. Whereas vents in most cars are rectangular and move vertically and laterally, the Audi’s are round, which makes them look like some kind of jet engine, and can turn in any direction.
The A3’s infotainment screen isn’t much different from that of any other car, except for one thing: The buttery-smooth action with which it rises from the dashboard when the engine starts, then disappears when it shuts off.
