Why is my manual car window hard to roll down?
I was driving some friends yesterday and they were having a difficult time rolling down the windows of my car. Since I drive an older vehicle, the passenger windows are manual. Why are my manual car windows hard to roll down?

There are a few reasons why your manual car window isn’t rolling up or down:
- There’s been damage to the window mechanics (i.e. stripped gears in the crank, the regulator is out of lubricating grease, bent regulator, etc.)
- Dirt or debris is stuck in the crank mechanism
- The window mechanism is rusty or has corroded
