Why did Progressive insurance just send me a certified letter?

"My neighbor texted me that he dropped off a letter from Progressive in my mailbox. He received it by accident. I'm out of town, so I haven't looked at the letter yet.

I don't usually get communications from them in the mail. Why is this happening? "

“It’s common practice for
car insurance
companies to send letters through certified mail, and you could be receiving the letter for a variety of reasons.
Progressive
could be sending a notice with official language regarding a policy cancelation, missed payments, or changes to your policy. Or maybe they were simply unable to contact you by other means. “
