As a buyer, there are so many options out there that I don’t know where to start. Which car makers should I consider?

According to Consumer Reports, the top five highest-rated car brands are:
  • Mazda
  • Subaru
  • Porsche
  • Honda
  • BMW
These ratings are based on road-test scores, reliability, customer satisfaction, safety, and the availability of green (energy-saving) options.
If you want to buy American, Chrysler and Buick are the two top-rated domestic brands.
