Where was Suzuki founded?

I know that Suzuki’s been around for a while, but was it originally from Japan? Where did Suzuki start?

It sure was! Suzuki was founded in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka, Japan by Michio Suzuki.
The company began in October 1909, when Suzuki incorporated the company as Suzuki Loom Works, making—you guessed it—looms! The company didn’t get into motor manufacturing until 1952 when it started making 36-cc bicycle motors.
In 1954, the company changed its name to Suzuki Motor Co. Ltd. and started producing motorcycles and cars—and the rest is history!
If you’re driving a Suzuki today, you can protect that piece of the brand’s legacy by getting a great
