Where is the original Ford GT40 that won Le Mans?

I’m a huge fan of automotive history and movies. So it shouldn’t come as a surprise that I greatly enjoyed Ford v. Ferrari. However, I’m still wondering what happened to the car that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Where is the Ford GT40 today?

In an attempt to dethrone Ferrari and gain a foothold as a legitimate automaker overseas, Ford produced the GT40, which ultimately won the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Today, the original Ford GT40 that won Le Mans is part of the collection of Rob Kauffman in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Mr. Kauffman is the owner of RK Motors, which buys and sells collector cars from across the globe. The Ford GT40 is just one of the vehicles in its current collection. However, the Ford GT40 isn’t for sale, and just in case you were wondering, this car at auction has gone for between $10 million and $12 million
While you may never be able to buy—or even see—the Ford GT40 that won Le Mans, you can still save a ton of extra cash by comparing
