Where is the Nissan GT-R made?

So I have this quirky neighbor who tells me all sorts of interesting (and frankly, outlandish) things about all sorts of stuff, including cars. He seems to have a thing for Nissans, and he told me that an early prototype of the new GT-R was sitting… in his garage. Now, when I asked to see this prototype, he got all flustered, saying his garage door opener broke, and then scurried away, muttering something about needing to sell a bunch of used trucks. I’m pretty sure this guy doesn’t even work for Nissan. Anyways, where is the Nissan GT-R made (for real)?

The 2022 Nissan GT-R is manufactured at Nissan’s Tochigi assembly complex, which sits about one hour and 45 minutes north of Tokyo, Japan.
This sporty coupe has been built at Tochigi since 2007, and boy does the latest version make an impression. The GT-R boasts a twin-turbo 3.8-liter engine with an astounding 565 horsepower. It blasts from 0 to 60 miles per hour in a thunderously quick 2.9 seconds. Acceleration feels, perhaps unsurprisingly, breathless, and the GT-R corners almost like nothing else on the road. Also, all-wheel drive comes standard on the GT-R.
Of course, getting your mitts on a GT-R will not come cheap. Unless you’re able to borrow the prototype in your neighbor’s garage, you’ll need to pony up $115,000 for a new GT-R. As well, the GT-R will only be sold in the U.S. in limited numbers, so you’ll have to part with all that cash quickly.
