Kurt Cobain actually drove a blue 1965 Dodge Dart as his primary car—his famous “Jaguar” referred to his iconic 1965 Fender Jaguar guitar! The Jaguar was Cobain’s most notable instrument throughout his career.
Cobain originally bought the guitar in 1991 through a magazine ad, and it had already been heavily modified. After his death in 1994, it’s speculated that the Jaguar ended up with Eric Erlandson, the guitarist for the band Hole. Fender released a replica of Cobain’s guitar in 2011.
